My treatment approach incorporates a variety of psychotherapeutic modalities including psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness practice and meditation. Psychiatric medications can be very helpful in managing mood and anxiety problems, but can also have side effects and potentially interact with other medications. My approach is to minimize the number of medications prescribed and use the lowest effective dose.
